
Barry Bass, MS, DDS
Education
Dr. Bass graduated from Queens College with his bachelor’s degree in biology. From there, he obtained a masters degree in biochemistry from New York University. Dr. Bass then attended the State Univeristy of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Queens Hospital Center.

Privileges, certifications, and memberships
Dr. Bass is Board Certified and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a member of many dental societies including the NYS Dental Association and the NYS Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Bass holds hospital privileges at Northwell Health’s Long Island Jewish Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital and Plainview Hospital.
Personal
Dr. Bass is a voluntary attending at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where he teaches both students and residents. Many of his lectures in the community have included: “Surgical Uprighting and Repositioning of Impacted Teeth”, The Challenge of the TMJ-Surgical Management of the TMJ Internal Derangement”, and “Dental Implant Complications”. Dr. Bass recently received the Nassau County Dental Society Humanitarian Award in recognition of his years of service in the community and teaching at this school. In 2019, he was the Honoree for the COPE Foundation. He performs free oral surgery in rural areas of the country as part of the RAM program.
Outside of Oral Surgery, Dr. Bass spends his free time traveling with his wife, Denise.
